EcoMS consultants will assist the company to plan and supervise activities arising from the operation of environmental management system. They also offer assistance in the establishment of the environment-friendly ways of the company development.
Special representative of top management
The consultant as a special representative of top management may be responsible for the entire operation of the system in order to ensure, in accordance with sec. 4.4.1 of the standard, that the requirements of the environmental management system have been established, implemented and maintained in accordance with the standard. This representative may also submit to top management reports on the system operations for review.
Monitoring of compliance with legal requirements
To ensure that the company maintains compliance with legal requirements, consultants will identify legal requirements for specifically this company (sec. 4.3.2, maintenance of the Register of Legal Requirements) and will periodically monitor how legal requirements are met (sec. 4.5.1, Audit).
Internal audits
Consultants will assist the company in planning and in periodical internal audits, in accordance with sec. 4.5.4., which will make it possible to determine whether the system is compliant with planned activities, and whether the system was properly implemented and maintained. Audits will allow to provide top management of the company with the information about the system functioning.
Training
Consultants will assist the company during the process of planning and holding of preliminary and periodical training sessions for specific levels within the organisations devoted to the standard scope, modern approach toward the environmental protection, and the changes in the legislation on environmental protection, etc.
Advanced training
These training sessions are addressed to medium and top management and their topics cover the modern development trends of environmental development systems, such as: benchmarking, life cycle assessment (LCA) or the development of the company’s image. The purpose of the training is to define opportunities for the development of the system operating within the organisation.
Life cycle analysis
Life cycle analysis means the creation, on the basis of a family of ISO 14040 standards, of the process of life cycle analysis for individual products of the company.
Analysis of operation of the environmental management system (operation indicators, benchmarking)
Development of the process of analysis and assessment of the environmental results of the organisation, on the basis of the ISO 14031 standard, given the operating environmental management system. It establishes whether indicators for specified units are effective, and indicators for different organisations are compared.
