Consultants from EcoMS help organisations to plan and supervise functioning of the environmental management system. They also provide advice on ecological development of the organisation.
Top Management Environmental Representative
Consultant, assigned as an Environmental Representative of top management, can be responsible for the functioning of the whole system. According to 4.4.1 of ISO 14001 the Environmental Representative will ensure that the system is established, implemented and maintained in accordance with the standard. The Environmental Representative can also prepare reports on EMS functioning to top management for the purpose of management reviews.
Monitoring of compliance with environmental legislation
In order to ensure organisations legislative compliance consultants identify applicable environmental legislation (4.3.2, legal and other requirements) and periodically evaluate compliance with relevant legislation (4.5.1, monitoring).
Internal audits
Consultants help organisation to plan and conduct internal environmental audits in accordance to 4.5.4 of the ISO 14001 standard. Audits allow determining if the system conforms to planned arrangements, has been properly implemented and maintained. Audits provide information to top management about functioning of the system.
Training
Consultants will help the organisation in planning and carrying out initial and periodical training for all levels within the organisation. Training will include requirements of ISO 14001 standard, modern approach to environmental protection, changes in environmental legislation, etc.
Advanced Training
These trainings are addressed to top and middle management teams and they cover modern trends in environmental management systems such as benchmarking, life cycle analysis (LCA), and creating companys image. These trainings aim to present possibilities for further development of existing system.
Life cycle analysis
Creating in the organisation, in accordance to ISO 14040 series, a process of life cycle analysis for specific organisation’s products.
Benchmarking (Analysis of environmental management system's functioning)
Creating a process of analysis and evaluation of organisation’s environmental results, in accordance to ISO 14031, within existing environmental management system. Establishing environmental performance indicators for specific organisation’s units and comparison of environmental performance indicators for different organisations.
